The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office continually accepts applications for employment.  Being a Texas Law Enforcement Agency, most positions require licensure from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (T.C.O.L.E.).  The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office is an equal-opportunity employer.

For any position, all applicants, upon approval of the hiring board, shall complete a urinalysis exam through a county approved medical lab.  The county shall pay for this testing.  Any evidence of illegal drug or non-prescribed drug use will disqualify the candidate from employment.

Depending on the TCOLE status of the applicant, an applicant may be required to complete a L2 (Physical and Drug-Screen form) and an L3 (Psychological Examination).  You will not be required by San Jacinto County to complete these examinations, if required, unless you are an approved-for-hire candidate.  These examinations may only be performed by a San Jacinto County appointed facility.
